Featured Poem 10/7 – “Sonogram”
Sonogram by Jennifer Chang
Dark matter, are you
sparklessfor lack of knowing
better? The roomyou’ve spun is distant
and indivisible—a flickering lapsarian,
you satisfy no mute
progress but
collapse, spiral, windedby unwinding. Dear
enigma kid, dear psychicsoft spot, I write you
from under eight spasticlights, each falser than stars,
to promise I’ll willthe darkness out of you
or I’ll will myselfto trying. Twisted
mister, my incipientsir, you be in charge
of the what-if, I’ll master why.
