Challenge Corner #17 – The Dirty Street

Heyheyhi, everybody. How’s it going for you? I can tell you, I’m just about melting here. It seems Britain has forgotten how to behave, and has been acting like a furnace for the last three weeks.

Now, if I were feeling lazy, I’d make you write about hot summer days. However! Today, I just happen to have found inspiration from somewhere else, so you get something altogether more interesting. And I get to feel a bit pleased with myself, even if I do have to keep feeling like I’m on fire at the same time.

– “How many times have you walked along a street covered in rubbish and thought, ‘this is filthy’?
How many times have you actually stopped to pick some of it up and put it in the bin?”

This is a quote from a guy I listened to over lunch today. He was using it in context of taking control of your own career, and not waiting about to be told what to do, but I thought it would be nice to see what you guys could make of it. So this week’s challenge is just that: make something with this quote, or a slight variation thereof.

And, as ever, we have to have super bonus options. Here you go:

+ Bonus Points: Lunch is involved somehow.

++ Double Bonus Points: Someone illustrates a point by drawing on a napkin.

So, off you go, and have fun! I look forward, as ever, to seeing what comes falling out of this. (And in the meantime, I shall flop about in the shade and be mocked by people from warmer climates, who, unlike the entire population of Britain, probably know what to do with all this heat.)
